Even though we almost finished another semester at the academy and most of the assignments have ended I somehow feel restless which results in when I have some time off I still think in all the things I have to do.

Due the smart amount of brains I have this somehow results on the way I dress.

Sometimes I feel like walking around naked but since that is not a very good idea I tend to turn to cozy angora jumpers and leather.

I’m very aware of the fact that these aren’t jeans but these words sung by Lana Del Ray reminded me of the fact that I haven’t worn pants in a while.

Felt like playing with brighter colors and wear something bold namely a necklace that I also haven’t worn in a while.

Since my style is pretty diverse and my choices in certain items can change there are always things you simply keep loving and becomes a part of your signature.

There are times that I tend forget that since I try to experiment as much as I can and therefore often try something new.

But eventually all pieces fall together and so do your signatures.

New Yorker Event

Wow. What an event! It is an understatement to say that I had fun. One of the best parts was definitely staying up with Ivelina until 6 in the morning chatting and having 3 hours of sleep. I really had to contain myself to not go crazy with a post of 50 photos. After being in touch via the internet for months, I was finally able to meet the rest of the WhatsTrendbloggers aka Ilanka, Cindy, Christian, Anjelica, Ivelina and Sara during a New Yorker event in Braunschweig. Also attending were the lovely Dustin, Josephine, Oliver and Magdalena. We had a blast styling outfits comprised of the new collection, having a delicious dinner and of course partying and shopping. Needless to say New Yorker took amazing care of us and everything was perfectly planned and the team extremely professional. Thank you New Yorker!

so where do i start?
the weekend was too amazing for words.
it was 2 days of good food, great clothes, BEST people, awesome party and even greater hangover. OOPS.
my WHATSTREND team (Cindy, Sara, Ilanka, Ivelina, Christian & Sophia) and my lovely german blogger/ friends (Dustin, Josi, Oliver, Maggie and Tim) surely had the time of our lives.

HERE´S A BIG SHOUTOUT TO RUTA & the whole NEW YORKER TEAM for making this event happen. YOU ROCK MY SOCKS OFF EVERYTIME!

TV Shows Moment

If you are TV Shows fanatic and you have planned to visit New York City you should definetly stop by NBC Studio (30, Rockefeller Plaza) and HBO Shop (1100 Avenue of theAmericas).

As a TV series addict, I went to both stores and was surprised to find the mythical drink from “True Blood” series, we got curious and decided to try it… I’ve to say I like it, cause the drink has a cherry flavor, which is very refreshing.

In NBC Store I found several gifts: “The Big Lebowski” t-shirt, “Friends” mugs, “The Office” and “House” oversized tennis balls.

Last weekend I have visited New Yorkers’ hometown – Braunschweig (Germany) for a special get together event for the fashion bloggers, soon I’ll tell you all about it!

this was actually the first outfit i wore on Berlin Fashion Week with some other boots.

The Calm Before The Storm

I’m not usually a fan of all black mainly because it’s just too easy. Mix up some textures and layers and it’s usually a winner and that quickly gets boring. Weighing myself down with these accessories though meant that the rest of my outfit had to be kept simple. Moxham has quickly become my absolute favourite jewellery brand. The nude, delicate colour coupled with the heavy gold metal gives it that perfectly balanced tough but feminine look.

On a more depressing note, Hamish ran into my face (don’t ask) and my glasses got damaged so now I am slightly blind and will be until my temporary replacement comes. Me and my wooden beauty will be reunited in a terribly long three weeks. I don’t like my face anymore without my glasses!

This Is Not a Pop Up Restaurant – This Is a Dining Experience

Tthe Pret a Diner event was hosted again in Berlin after it popped up in Frankfurt, Munich and London. About a year ago Alasdair and I spent an unforgettable evening at the first event ever, which was held at the Alte Münze, an old coin factory, the same venue that Pret a Diner returned to for that night’s celebration.

This time the set up was more intimate with an eclectic mix of vintage furniture and glass ware, a poetic menu, countless origami cranes that were casting beautiful shadows throughout the venue and dim lighting that gave everything a sepia tinge.

Bird sounds echoed throughout the candle lit stairwells and a modern art exhibition meant that literally all senses were stimulated. We finished off the evening with cocktails at our favourite bar, Reingold, and then managed to happily stumble home.

Sex and the City Moment

I‘m a fan of the TV series - Sex and the City. During my first New York visit with my friend Paloma, we didn’t hesitate to take the tour bus that carried us through the locations of the series and we enjoyed it. You can eat cupcakes in “The Magnolia Bakery”, take a cosmopolitan at Aidan and Steve bar, walk through the street where the main characters often went for shopping, visit Samba restaurant, and of course you are be able to take a photo at Carrie Bradshaw’s home.
