Surrealistic lines

Those who follow me on instagram already knew I have been spending these days in Portugal.
Ever since I was a little kid I have been to Portugal every single year to visit my family and such (yes I have Portuguese roots).
Since then there have been a lot of changes.
Portugal may be known for their small streets, old and colorful houses but there is a whole new flow when it comes to architecture.
All these buildings are located in Portugal in between the architecture it is known for.
It somehow becomes surrealistic and it certainly is the most remarkable architecture I have seen with my own eyes so far.

NOIR.

hey guys!
just a quick post to show you my outfit yesterday which is basically composed of my current favorites.
the top, the jeans (FITS LIKE A GLOVE, OMG!), the bag and these sunnies!
also a self reminder to eat less, run more.
xx

OUTFIT | 200513

This is gonna be a hell of a busy week. Yesterday I had my birthday, had an amazing day, but I’m kind of tired now..
In a few hours we will head to Amsterdam, do some shopping for the boy, go to my best friend because it’s her birthday today! Then we’re going to our hotel because my flight to Cannes leaves at 6:40.

Haven’t told you that I’m going to Cannes right? Yes I did post it on instagram but not on my blog yet. So…..
Cindy from COTTDS takes me with here to Cannes, it’s short ( about 24 hours ) but we will have a great time, going to a super cool party ( that starts at midnight) and our flight back is very early in the morning on wednesday:p

Wednesday I have to get my nails done, thursday I have to work, going to Leeuwarden at 6, sleep over, and have a wedding on friday! So as you can see, very busy, but only good things, so I will survive:p
About the outfit, really basic wearing zara jeans and sweater, rebecca minkoff bag and alexander wang heels wich I definitely take with me to Cannes!

Crossed lines

I’m currently in Lisbon for a work trip and we were lucky enough to explore Lisbon the first two days.
It has been a while since I have last been here, since my family there all moved to England but it feels more then good to be back.
Besides my Portuguese could use some training since I obviously do not speak Portuguese as frequently as I do Dutch and English.
Wore a top with thin crossed straps and a tight leather skirt (which wasn’t a very smart move since I can barely move in that thing, imagine me going up and down the hills here).
The stylist and photographer that I’m with, haven’t been to Lisbon before so I took them to a few places such as Bairo Alto and Oriente.
Tomorrow we will start shooting which means preparing for long days of hard work.
Nevertherless I’m excited to work on these productions and I think I can go a day or two without tight leather skirts and other nonsense.

BIRTHDAY GIRL!

Morning! it’s my birthday! 23 years old!

Somewhere

Somewhere, someone or a certain experience will change you completely.
Like any other I have had some difficult situations to go through but I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I it did not happen.
There are certain periods in your life were you do not expect a change but the saying: expect the unexpected did not come from nowhere.
I’m still the same person I was the day we met, but a more improved and even more happy then I already was.
No need for me to explain who I wrote this for, he already knowns who he is.

LORELAI.

i will never forget that one gilmore girls episode…

it was rory’s first day at that expensive, private school and lorelai, her mom, was supposed to come with her.

but unfortunately, she overslept and couldn’t pick up the special suit she planned to wear that day.

anyway, she wore what she could first grab from her closet: denim cutoffs & cowboy boots. she got hit upon by another dad from the school, her mom & the headmaster of course thought it was a terrible joke.

kind of the same thing happened to me the other day.

i attended a parent teacher meeting in this outfit above except that it was exactly the outfit i planned to wear.

i am lucky to live in a generation where everything goes. but sometimes even in these modern times, i feel weird being stared upon by other moms or people (who probably are still stuck in the 20s) in general because i dress up like i do. if there is such a thing, what is mommy style anyway? should i wear my dress suit (sans bra? yes it´s my preferred way) to parent-teacher meetings? should i dress up differently because i have a 4 year old kid? should i wear boring sunglasses just because? HMMM.

it´s my party and i´ll live it like i want to.

for all the lorelais in the world, hats off.
