Nowhere to somewhere

After spending ten days in beautiful Lisboa and Porto I’m finally back home.
I have seen beautiful architecture, enjoyed the warm climate and worn some spring/summer looks at last.
This is one of them, simplistic and above all comfortable to move in with all the climbing up and down.
In a few weeks I will continue my internship in London and after that I will go back to Lisboa but this time with my man.

Surrealistic lines

Those who follow me on instagram already knew I have been spending these days in Portugal.
Ever since I was a little kid I have been to Portugal every single year to visit my family and such (yes I have Portuguese roots).
Since then there have been a lot of changes.
Portugal may be known for their small streets, old and colorful houses but there is a whole new flow when it comes to architecture.
All these buildings are located in Portugal in between the architecture it is known for.
It somehow becomes surrealistic and it certainly is the most remarkable architecture I have seen with my own eyes so far.

Crossed lines

I’m currently in Lisbon for a work trip and we were lucky enough to explore Lisbon the first two days.
It has been a while since I have last been here, since my family there all moved to England but it feels more then good to be back.
Besides my Portuguese could use some training since I obviously do not speak Portuguese as frequently as I do Dutch and English.
Wore a top with thin crossed straps and a tight leather skirt (which wasn’t a very smart move since I can barely move in that thing, imagine me going up and down the hills here).
The stylist and photographer that I’m with, haven’t been to Lisbon before so I took them to a few places such as Bairo Alto and Oriente.
Tomorrow we will start shooting which means preparing for long days of hard work.
Nevertherless I’m excited to work on these productions and I think I can go a day or two without tight leather skirts and other nonsense.

Somewhere

Somewhere, someone or a certain experience will change you completely.
Like any other I have had some difficult situations to go through but I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I it did not happen.
There are certain periods in your life were you do not expect a change but the saying: expect the unexpected did not come from nowhere.
I’m still the same person I was the day we met, but a more improved and even more happy then I already was.
No need for me to explain who I wrote this for, he already knowns who he is.

Clear

Spring has sprung and in a few days I will be experiencing summer since I will be in Portugal in a few days together with the stylist I’m assisting.
Taking the weekend to clear the mind and enjoy the clear blue skies.

Devotion

Had a lovely spring day soaking up the sun and eating (it is what me and Jasper do best).
I often think of were life is headed and where I would like to be.
Anything can happen in time and there is a time for anything but nothing comes for free.

Monochrome lines

I seriously have been driving everyone around me crazy with my hunt for a new pair of (comfortable) shoes.
Most of you know that I work as a stylist and while everyone may think it is the most glamorous job of all it is anything but glamorous.
It involves a lot of running/walking and above all carrying.
Sometimes I have so much stuff that I’m hardly visible on the streets.
A year ago when I started I was stubborn and did this all on my heels but I quickly realized that it simply wouldn’t work.
I eventually gave into a pair of Dr. Martens but for some reason I recently thought I needed a good pair of flat shoes that are comfortable.
However I’m more then difficult when it comes to shoes let alone flat shoes.
Since my walking heels are completely worn out I searched for a new pair.
I stumbled on to these but they have the lowest heel (or as I like to refer they are flat) I have ever owned.
I’m still doubting if it is something I have to get used to or if I want to hit someone with these shoes.
Will be continued.
